Estelle has some new music in the works for her new album.She released the single "Freak" which i absolutely hated..and now she has some new material..to be honest,i think im over the whole estelle thing..when she was a "rapper" singing 1984,i didnt like her music ..then she did "American Boy" and Come over" and I loved those..but idk..im just not liking any of the new stuff..check it out and see what u think..
So theres been the on-going discussion on why more and more African artists are using non-black girls in their videos .Dbanj is one of the artists whose new song "Kimon" had people talking.But another one who has people MAD as hell is Taio Cruz.Hes half brazillian and half Nigerian.He actually blatantly said,
"“I like to put girls in my video that I think are hot. If a really hot black girl came to a casting, she’d be in my video. I think that people even focusing on the race issue in my videos is a problem. And I would almost react by never putting black girls in my video, because I’m that type of person – rebellious. I’d be like, ‘If that’s how you’re gonna be, I’m never gonna put black girls in my videos.’”Huh?okay then.He does have some good songs though.Not that its an xcuse or ne thing.

In other Wale news,even though his performances during the VMA'S got him some nods,Wale may be delaying the release of his debut album. According to concrteteloop , "DC native Wale’s album is getting delayed, but with good reason.
His debut studio album, Attention: Deficit will now hit stores on November 3rd, but not due to label complications. Wale is will be hitting the road with none other than Jay-Z, on a tour of college campus arenas and traditional venues.
At this year’s VMA’s, fans were pleased to see that Wale performed in between performances and awards with the well-known DC go-go band, UCB. Joining him on the stage with the house band, also were Solange, Kid Cudi, Pitbull and a host of others. He is currently promoting his third single, featuring Jazmine Sullivan, “World Tour.”.
Darey (formely known as Dare ) ,runner up in the Project Fame show and solo artist ,has released a new video called No stars,which is a follow up to Not the Girl.I love the qulaity (esp in HD).Seems that we are stepping up in terms of video!However,the song kinda gets borring to me as im kinda tired of him and his slow songs.we need more uptempo music please!Enjoy all the music and thank me later!

Paris Hilton seems to have a new bff.Its cameroonian first lady Chantal Biya.they met at some first ladies meeting in la.Wondering how Miss Hilton was invited.Anyhoo,now Paris is inpired to go to Africa and make that trip she claimed she would make after going 2 jail for some time.Interesting.No plans have been made yet but she will most likely travel to Cameroon as the two apparently chatted afterwards.
A Rwandese boy called Noah was a performer on Ameican Idol on Wed night results show.He sang "The World's Greatest" and got Ryan Seacrest to try 2 do some ndombolo.Hilarious!the boy was also on the Tyra show with Alicia Keys some time last year.Here is some video footage.

In top model news ,Nigerian contestant Aminat was third this season,meaning that she didnt walk away with the top prize.She was voted "Most Banging Body" on the Tyra show though and told she has a Naomi campell body. I always try to talk about african artists that are trying 2 be successful in the music industry ,or who are already receiving relative airplay in their respective countries ,but who you may have not yet been introduced to.So I heard about these malawian artists called 3rd eye and Dominat respectively,from a malawian friend called kalole.
Here's the bio of 3rd EYE. Now after releasing his solo debut, the critically approved debut 'Imagine being Jesus and not knowing it' in the winter of 2007 and consequential stints with the German Goethe Institut and Madonna's Raise Malawi among others in addition to a monumental performance at last year's Lake of Stars festival alongside longtime protege Dominant One, we now await the release of his sophomore offering "Taking kandy from a blind baby" on April the 3rd this year. This release is to be followed by the first ever nation-wide Malawian hip hop tour. Raise your glasses for the masses!
DOMINANT BIO. With the game being so industry-driven, good hip hop is hard to come by.This Malawian raised emcee/producer refuses to be part of this craze they now call 'hip hop' and thus at an early age set out to make it right. His emcee style is a mixture of old school and 'true' school. He sounds like old school LL Cool J with a Tribe Called Quest flow added to remarkable lyrical content. He has worked with a zambian artist called C4 (whose bestfriend I happen to know...small world)and others.

Cornielle Nyungura is a singer whose music I have been exposed to for a while ,so when I read in vibe magazine and Uptown mag that he has been signed to Motown Records,which is the same record company that Akon is signed to,I was really happy because now his music will have an outlet in the us.He usually sings in french,but has produced an english album called the "Birth of Corneilious" which came out last month .He is rwandese and the 32 year old is ready to become a household name in the us ,which is probably the few countries where he is not known. I asked my bestfriend Tresor for an opinion on Corneille and here's what he had to say "I like Corneill'e music because i believe he sings with his heart. in way he shares his secret garden and he does it with passion. His lyrics express a lot of pain but i think that's what makes it so intense."See,Its not just me.lol

MTV has been playing songs by this upcoming Somalian singer K'naan and I thought I would put him up here to get an opinion on what you guys think about his music.I think i will call his music ,"music with a message".He has been featured on other african websites like mimimgazine ,and others .His album Trobadour(which I beleive to be his debut album just came out on feb 24th 2009 and he will be going on tour soon.Check out his myspace page and check out his video for a song he did called "Somalia".Don't forget to let me knw what you think.Do you like his music?
Djimon and his fiancee Kimora Lee are expecting as I told you before and that hasnt stopped them from attending a number of events .Infact,I've seen pics of them almost everyday .They have been attending movie premieres (Djimon's movie Push is coming out soon),as well as pre-grammy parties abt a week ago ,and fashion shows .Peep the pics .I cannot wait to see that baby! Welcome to my new series "I didn't Know You Still existed" where I will feature artists that were once in the spotlight ,but vanished for a while ..and are now back!My first post on this exciting new series features Dare Art Alade,who was first runner up on the "Project Fame show",which aired in South Africa in 2004 or 2005 .It was a singing show where 16 contestants performed infront of a live audience every week ,and one contestant was voted off.So he had an album and some videos on Channel O,..so now,he's back with a new video called "Not the Girl".If this guy writes his own songs,I salute him.I love the song,the lyrics,the video..very professional looking.I love it.What do u think?Do u agree or disagree?Let me knw!Oh and apparently ,Dare got married 6 months ago to Deola Ayeni.According to my sources,the chick is a business woman who has a multi-million dollar contract.Congrats!

Nigeria's 2 face Idibia of "African Queen" Fame just released his new album on Dec 19th 2008.The album titled "Unstoppable" features 16 tracks ,one of them including R.Kelly .2 Face said “My fans should expect versatility, a whole lot of different flavours, fields and genres. They should expect something scintillating,” Asked why he chose the title, Tuface explained: “There were so many titles that came up. But the basic idea is, I am going nowhere. Come rain or shine, I am still going to be here by the grace of God.
